Wilmer Berton – Co-Founder & Managing Director

He graduated in Civil Engineering from the University of Trieste in 2006 with a thesis developed at the University of Cincinnati, Ohio (USA). He returned to Europe and began his career in the United Kingdom as a site engineer for a company in Cambridge. After a brief period in Italy, he went abroad again to Turkey, where he worked as a project manager for railway infrastructure projects. Since then, he has been involved in project management activities and the expansion into new markets, including Germany, England, Morocco, and the United States, for engineering and project management companies operating in the real estate and infrastructure sectors. Since 2017, he has been focusing particularly on the Italian and European real estate and infrastructure markets, exclusively providing project management services to different stakeholders in the industry. Since 2022, he has held the role of Managing Director of GDP Italia.

Alessandro Ghisellini – Co-Founder & CFO

He graduated in Management Engineering from Politecnico di Milano in 2000, with a thesis focused on the importance of analyzing and revising business processes as a strategic factor for creating value for companies. He began his career in the telecommunications sector, working as a business controller for a large industry. Based on the experience gained, he embarked on a path as Finance Manager for the group’s companies, first in the Italian market and then internationally. Along this journey, he managed all financial activities of the group’s local entities in the EMEA region (United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Qatar) and North Africa (Libya), eventually becoming the CFO and a member of the board of directors of the managed companies. Since 2019, he has been involved in small and medium-sized enterprises, exploring new sectors such as project management, venture capital investments, and petrochemicals, serving as a CFO or Group CFO. Since 2022, he has held the role of Co-Founder of GDP Italia.

Fausto Margotti – Senior Project Manager

Senior Project Manager with over 20 years experience in industrial, residential and commercial projects managament. International experience in industries relocation, and commercial point creation in Italy and abroad.
Responsible for meeting budget,duration, cost and quality specifications by monitoring activities and promoting collaboration of working teams. Constant activity monitoring and risk analysis for project, construction workers and environmental impact.

Alessio Brambilla – Junior Project Manager

He graduated in Civil-Hydraulic Engineering from the University of Pavia in 2014, with a thesis focused on the construction of Mini-Hydro hydroelectric plants. He began his professional journey in the industrial construction sector, working on the construction of a mineral water factory and a water supply system in the province of Frosinone. For two years, he held the position of supervisor for civil and hydraulic works. He then chose to embark on a three-year experience in Norway, working at a large shipyard where he collaborated as a Chief Bridge Builder in the construction of 9 luxury cruise ships, including a luxury icebreaker-cruise ship equipped with LNG Hybrid engines (a unique prototype of its kind). After his experience in the naval sector, he returned to Italy and worked as a Project Manager in an engineering company, overseeing public contracts in the hospital sector. Since 2022, he has held the role of Construction Manager at GDP.

Emanuela Vari – Senior Design Manager

She graduated in Architecture and Interior Design from the University of Rome in 2008. She started her career working at architectural firms in Rome. In 2014, she moved to Qatar, where she began her career as a Project Manager for a Main Contractor company specializing in luxury private projects for the Royal Family and public projects for the state of Qatar. Since 2019, she has been working for an Architecture and Design company, holding the role of Branch Manager and Project Manager at the local Qatari office, overseeing projects in the hospitality, retail, and office sectors. Since 2022, she has been working as a Project Manager for GDP. With 8 years of experience in Qatar, she has developed strong project management skills, combining teamwork and a determined approach in all areas of action, from concept design to execution and construction phases.

Luca Amoroso – Senior MEP Manager

He graduated in Electrical Engineering from the University of Padua in 1995, and later pursued a Ph.D. at the University of Virginia in the USA. With over 24 years of experience, including more than 10 years in managing international projects governed by FIDIC standards, in countries such as Saudi Arabia, Russia, Morocco, Kazakhstan, Maldives, as well as projects based on Italian public works regulations. He has experience in service contracts, supplies, construction works, and grants, as well as technical audits, reviews, and bid evaluations for the MEP sector. He is skilled in managing projects with multidisciplinary teams, ensuring that work is completed on time and within budget. Since 2022, he has been collaborating with GDP as an MEP Manager.

Charles Bell Reilly – Trainee

Charles is currently a civil engineering student at the University of Glasgow. Before returning to Scotland for his current studies, he spent many years working and traveling throughout Europe, including several years in Milan and western Norway. He is a qualified ESL (English as a Second Language) teacher, with years of experience in Italy, Spain, and Poland. Additionally, he has significant experience in proofreading and copywriting, having worked as a freelance in this field for many years, focusing on academic texts and commercial pieces. He is also a passionate linguist, proficient in Italian, Lithuanian, and Spanish, in addition to his native English. Since the beginning of 2023, Charles has been collaborating with GDP Italia, providing linguistic services and document controlling.

Marco Scaramuzza – Senior Project Manager

He graduated from the Technical Institute for Surveyors 8 Marzo in Mirano (VE). He began working with various engineering firms, first as a CAD draftsman and then as an assistant to the Works Management in civil construction. He obtained professional certification for freelance practice in 1990. He held the position of Construction Manager at Vodafone Italia for the implementation of the mobile network. Since 2000, his focus shifted back to supporting Works Management, and he became the Technical Director on construction sites for major companies in the region, eventually managing public and private contracts as a Project Manager. Since 2022, he has been collaborating with GDP Italia as a Project Manager in the Construction phase for real estate projects.

Massimiliano Diana – Automation Engineer

He graduated in Computer Engineering and Automation from the Polytechnic University of Bari in 2022 with a thesis on the potential of artificial intelligence algorithms applied to construction projects. He has worked as a software development programmer and is currently specializing in the automation of cyber-physical systems and dynamic system controllers at the Polytechnic University of Bari. He collaborates with GDP in the development of proprietary platforms for project management.

Filippo Scaramuzza – Site Manager

He graduated from the Technical Institute for Surveyors 8 Marzo in Mirano (VE). He started an internship as a draftsman at a technical studio, later focusing on surveying and site accounting. Since 2018, he has been responsible for Help Desk activities in the IT section and providing support for Project Management activities.

Laura Bordoli Junior Sustainability and ESG Manager

She graduated in Economics of Production Sectors and International Markets at the University of Trieste in 2019. During the university she became passionate about the world of sustainability and the circular economy and discussed an experimental thesis that analyzes different waste management policies in relation to the principles of sustainable development and the circular economy. In December 2020 she began her work experience as a researcher in a national research institution developing applied research projects for SMEs in the field of sustainability, innovation and technology transfer, writing projects for European and national funds and coordinating an economic feasibility project to support the implementation of good industrial symbiosis practices in the retroport area of ​​Trieste. In March 2023 she developed a project work on the topic of sustainability certifications and began a study and research process on ESG criteria.

Luca Diana – Project Control Manager

Luca studies Business Administration & Management at LUM University of Bari. Despite his young age he has already gained about 7 years of experience in the Construction sector and 3 in the Oil & Gas sector, working both with small contractors and participating in large projects with multinationals. It combines the inclination towards new technologies and new business models, always trying to find innovative solutions to improve processes, data use, reports and therefore communication. To this he combines a collaborative attitude based on empathy, gained from the experience with different and multiple professional cultures.
